Our Story
Rooted in Resilience. Growing Together.
The GreenHouse Affect was born from lived experience — the understanding that surviving hardship is only the beginning, and that every woman deserves a community to grow into her next chapter.
How We Began
A Seed Planted in Purpose
The GreenHouse Affect started with a simple but powerful belief: that single mothers who have overcome overwhelming circumstances don't just need resources — they need a place to belong. A place where their strength is recognized, their story is honored, and their future is possible.
What began as a small gathering of women supporting one another has grown into a structured organization offering housing support, mentorship, and wraparound resources to single mothers navigating life transitions.
Like a greenhouse, we don't create growth — we create the conditions for it. Every woman who walks through our doors already carries everything she needs. We simply give her the warmth, light, and community to let it flourish.
Our Founder
Our Founder
Founder & Executive Director
The GreenHouse Affect was founded by a woman who has walked the path she now helps others navigate. After overcoming her own season of overwhelming circumstances as a single mother, she recognized a gap — not in services, but in belonging. She built this organization to be the community she once needed: a warm, honest, and deeply human space where women are seen, supported, and celebrated.
"I didn't build this for women who need saving. I built it for women who are already saving themselves — and just need someone to stand beside them."
What We Stand For
Our Core Values
Dignity
Every woman who comes to us is met with respect, warmth, and the recognition that her story matters — not just her circumstances.
Community
We believe healing happens in relationship. We foster genuine connection between women who understand each other's journeys.
Growth
We don't measure success by survival. We measure it by the life a woman builds for herself and her children on the other side of hardship.
Wholeness
We address the whole person — emotional, practical, and relational — because lasting change requires more than a single resource.
Be Part of the Growth
Whether you want to volunteer, donate, or simply spread the word — there is a place for you in this community.
